I come from a family that loves to cook, which helped instill a fondness for food at an early age. I was born in south Louisiana, where food means more to the average person than, say, Kernersville, NC. I spent 6 months in France for school and enjoyed having a more hands on experience with European ideas of cuisine. Going to the farmers market is high on the list of my favorite things to do. It is a place where I feel people are most genuine. After I graduate college, I hope to go to Adelaide, Australia for a graduate program in gastronomy.
