Genevra Case

Geny is a naturally gifted artist and resilient gardener. She grew up in the dairy region of Pennsylvania where everyone gardened and preserved food for the long winter months. It is a part of her heritage that she never abandoned. Geny moved to Charlotte in 1981 returned to vegetable gardening in the mid 80s and moved to their current farm in 1992. Steve and Geny raised their 2 children on the farm. In 1998 she was the director of Southern Honeysuckle Food Co-op. Eating healthy fresh food has been a constant throughout her life. She believes that growing food in the Southeast is one of the most challenging regions in the US. This challenge motivated her to connect, support, and learn from our community of growers. She loves learning and mastering skills, and gardening is one of many. Helping and motivating people to eat healthier, grow gardens, and build community support is her passion.
