I'm an interior designer and was working at an architecture firm uptown until we downsized in October and I was laid off. I'm currently looking for work, so if you know of anything that you can pass on, I'd love to hear about it!
I love cooking for the art in it, and my husband loves eating, so we make a good team. We used to eat a lot of boxed food (Rice a Roni and Easy Mac were staples in college), and while it was less expensive, it didn't taste as good and it wasn't as much fun. My first great cookbook to get me started was "America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook," and it has inspired me to try making everything from scratch. My new goal is to try to make everything taste better and bring the art back into food preparation and eating. Recently I've started working my way through Joy of Cooking, and have only had one mishap so far.
We also love to try new restaurants and enjoy eating out. Please let me know your favorite places to go in Charlotte.

I use a Canon Pro1, kind of a quasi-dslr I use until I can afford one of the larger rigs. I really like macro-photography (use a 500D lens) and landscape; indoors always gives me hives because a flash draws too much attention. Let me become a shadow from the sun and I can get some great life-shots.
