Grew up nearby, got out as fast as I could, did the corporate thing, came back and appreciate it more than ever. Now we live uptown but I've kept the homeplace in Fort Mill and garden there. Grow 1/3 acre corn and large kitchen garden...
Have been gardening organically since 1994...started with an acre or so cultivated (oh, my back) but have cut back a little on the space I plant.
That's my granddaughter in my corn patch (southern for small field) in the photo...
Favorite Foods:
Like all foods except rutabagas and sea urchin...great cabs are hard to resist with great cheeses, sweets are my weakness but I like all ethnic foods, exotic spices and mainly, I like the community around a table.
Great to meet you today, Vicki. The NCWF networking site we mentioned is at www.ncwildlife.ning.com. Pls check it out for lively discussions between tree huggers as well as a great listing of events going on in the area. I'll send you an invitation when we get plant swap/wine tasting event planned.
