I'm an aspiring pro photographer who was made aware of Slow Food Charlotte by a friend. I've always been a foodie and am really glad I've found a group of like minded souls.
It would probably be easier to say what I don't like. However, recently I've found myself becoming more and more interested in types of food that the south and particularly North Carolina is known for.

Hey thought you might be interested in hearing about some work I'm doing with local farms to get local produce, meat, dairy, etc to the Charlotte area. Check out www.knowyourfarms.com
I saw your post about meat from Laughing Owl, Grateful Growers, and Baucomb and we have grateful growers and I think Laughing Owl on our local food club ordering system where we go on a farm run once a week to pick up food orders so farmers can spend more time farming and less time at markets and bring them to drop off points from Concord, Davidson down to Ballantyne. We've also got a multi-farm CSA and a "Meal-in-a-Box" program that offer different ways to bring local foods into your life. Shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com if you're interested at all or have any questions!
