Looking for student-run gardens

Hi, I'm posting from Fuel Pizza where we had a great experience last summer when a group of kids from the garden at Shamrock Elementary School brought some of their harvested vegetables into Fuel on Central Avenue and made their own pizza using their own vegetables. We would love to do more events like this so please give us a shout if you are connected with a kids gardening group.Paula SeefeldtSee More

I just spent the day at Shamrock Garden Elementary School watching Michaele Fitzpatrick and Amy Hahn do their gardening magic with the kids there. As a celebration of the last day of summer school, the kids harvested produce from their garden and made a splendid ratatouille. The kids loved it and all asked for seconds. My daughters were there visiting with me and gave the dish two thumbs up. It was great to see a roomful of kids enjoying fresh vegetables so much. Kudos to you two ladies for your passion and hard work! Paula (Fuel Pizza)
