One of the things I love about farmer's markets is that produce is "naked", that is, not wrapped within an inch of it's life in plastic, or sitting in a plastic box. I use homemade string produce bags to put the produce in. They are lightweight so as not to add to the weight of the produce and see-though to help identify the item during the check out process.
