Unfortunately we are not open at friendship trays on the weekends unless w schedule special projects in the garden. On september 10, we may haver several garden projects going on . Would you be interests in helping then? Could be a family affair.

Anyone interested in trading your vegs, baked goods, plants or herbs for rose mary? We have a super large rose mary bush that needs to be trimmed back.  Or, would you be interested in trading for some fire roasted chicken. I have a few sticks of cherry wood in which I am thinking about putting in my wood burning roaster with a few chickens Friday night after the sun drops behind the trees.


I shop the Matthews farmer's market on Saturday mornings.

Okay, so crocks were bought at the Organic Growers School. Veggies are fermenting. I think I'm going to dig this fermenting energy load and all of the probiotic stuff is left alive and kicking. Check out learn more. I might have to get back in the exchanging game. I just learned how easily I can make probiotic Mead and root-beer.

But the real reason I'm writing, and I think this is cool enough I'm going to post it on the main forum as well, is this internet article on food trading I just found while excitedly surfing around fermenting and probiotic websites. Cheers!

Christine, I am most interested in trading for some kefir. Do you also have fresh milk? I can offer veggie plants, flower plants, or bread made from fresh milled grains (all products organic).

Just to keep the ball rolling, Matt and I always have kefir (grains or the ready made product) to trade. I haven't gotten around to making any other trading goods lately, but hopefully that'll change soon!

And another thing... I have a very sturdy stainless steel workbench approx 6' x 3' in my garage that would be great for food preparation if anyone wants it. It weighs a ton, so it would be a job to take it away. We can work out terms of the trade once someone expresses an interest in it. Ciao...Sue

Hi everyone,

I really won't be able to exchange much food until I get my spring garden going, but I do want to let everyone know that I have an over abundance of strawberry plants that I would love to trade for some composted manure or a mixture of fresh bunny droppings w straw or chicken manure w straw. I just had another thought. If anyone in the group wants to meet us at the market to trade, that would be cool. I sit at Matthews and Matt sits at Yorkmont every Saturday.

Sunday is fine. I have to take Ivy back to school, but Matt will be here all day. Don't go to any trouble with the pesto. Stock would be great. Just let me know what time is good fro you on Sunday and I will tell Matt. He will enjoy giving you the nickel tour. Michele

I'm teaching a couple of classes at the cpcc Levine classes on biofuels on Saturday--between that and other stuff, I wouldn't have time to make up any fresh pesto by Sat. afternoon. Do you mind a Sunday stop in?
