Guess what, a lot of the vendors at some Charlotte Area Farmers Markets are NOT real farmers. Gadzooks! We’re being duped. Now if you’re driving all the way to a Farmers Market to buy fruits and vegetables from California, Florida, Mexico or Chile well this information will be of little use to you.

If you think you’re buying from a local farmer you may want to make sure. Start with the folks on this list and you will be glad you did.

Mills Garden Herb Farm is in rural Iredell County. Plants are started in a greenhouse but hardened off outside so customers buy plants that are acclimated to the weather. Only natural fertilizers are used and plants are never sprayed with pesticides. I love to work with the plants and learn how to use them and share this knowledge with others. I want everyone to experience the joy that I do from these plants.
