 hen? From early bread pudding recipes to celebrations of fresh fruits 
 of the garden, Sandy Oliver will discuss how decades of historic resea
 rch has enriched her daily life and can do the same for yours as well.
 \n\nSandy Oliver has been active in food and food history since 1971 w
 hen she developed a fireplace cooking program for an 1830s house at th
 e Mystic Seaport Museum. She is the author of The Food of Colonial and
  Federal America and Saltwater Foodways and co-author of Giving Thanks
 : Thanksgiving History and Recipes from Pilgrims to Pumpkin Pie. She i
 s also a freelance food writer and columnist in New England, and maint
