September 29th Farm to Table Dinner!
Once again superb farm fresh cuisine will be prepared by a Johnson and Wales University trained chef.
Chef Thomas, new to Charlotte, comes to us with a degree in the Culinary Arts and in Culinary Nutrition. In 1994, when we began the planning of an educationally based organic farm with an emphasis on health, nutrition, and lifestyle we also began the search for local chefs that shared our vision. We have great admiration for the chefs that have created our wonderful meals under the stars.
Poplar Ridge Farm has proudly adopted Chef Thomas Carrig as our weekly ‘go to’ advisor. He is willing to brainstorm with our owner, Marianne Battistone on new recipes, coach our interns, and walk our fields.
His experiences as a Sous Chef at the Duke University Diet & Fitness Center in Durham, NC, as an Executive Chef at the Wellness Center in the Outer Banks, and now on his own as a personal chef and consultant have all been a perfect fit for our mission at Poplar Ridge Farm.
In addition, he was an engaging presenter at the Durham Farmers Market and now entertains our guests as a presenter at our Poplar Ridge Farm Tours. At our next tour, September 15th 1:00p to 6:00p, he will be demonstrating his cooking techniques and offering tastings at 1:30p.
The four course sit-down dinner with Chef Thomas on Saturday, September 29th will be another wonderful evening!
$90 per person online until September 22, $85 per person via check mailed/received by August 29.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund issued three weeks prior. 50% refund issued two weeks prior. No refunds for cancellation given one week prior to event.
