Another of what has become one of Charlotte Culinary Expert Heidi Billotto's monthly "On the Farm" cooking classes with the Eagans and the Proffitts on their beautiful ranch at Proffitt Family Farms in King's Mountain.
This month Heidi and Shelley decided to try something little different and plan a Saturday afternoon class where the food we prepare is teamed with wine pairings to becomes dinner for the group - Class will begin at 3 pm with a walking farm tour where we will visit with the chickens, the horses, cows and bulls and might even see a calf or two! Come and learn why grass fed, pasture raised beef make so much sense and is so good for you.Then we'll all settle into the Eagan's beautiful home kitchen to cook with some of the best beef around. Four beef-centered recipes plus dessert. Class is predominantly done in a demonstration-style format with several hands-on opportunities for those who want to get in on the action.
