David and I went to the 7:30 pm full but not sold out showing tonight (Friday) and gave out flyers after the event. Everyone was very receptive, and seemed eager to get the information. Not a hard sell. I think we need to try to be at as many key showings as possible (definitely late afternoon and evening Saturday and Sunday). The management asked us to move outside, but before they got to me I gave flyers to most everyone who came to the 7:30 show. If we hand out flyers outside the theatre we don't even need a ticket. If you want flyers, contact me and I'll connect with you to hand them off. Great movie, great opportunity. For those with kids... there are some mildly disturbing scenes. I'm probably going to take my kids who are 6 and 9. Maybe to an early show.

Thanks lynn! We haven't tried it.

Hey Jenny - how about Roosters? It is a Noble's restaurant, but we go there and take the kids. It has choices all over the board. Somewhat a la carte.

Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants near Park Terrace that offer more local ingredients, but aren't super fancy or expensive? I'd like something more casual than Noble's or Ratcliffe. I'm not really familar with that area anymore. It seems wrong to watch that movie and then go to dinner somewhere non-local.

Here is more information. Show times on Friday are 12:30, 2:50, 5:10, 7:30, and 10:00. I'm printing a flyer with information about local farmers markets and an invitation to an informal discussion on Sunday afternoon at the Common Market in SouthEnd from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. If you can volunteer to help hand out flyers before or after any of the shows, or come to the discussion on Sunday that would be great! I'm going to be at the 7:30 show Friday night flyering before and after. If you are going to an earlier show I can hand flyers off to you on Thursday or Friday.

I'd like to coordinate a forum or rally on July 11th to follow up the opening night - this is a great opportunity to help answer the inevitable question "what do I do now?" David is working on a flyer and I am trying to find a venue. Has anyone contacted the theater to see if we can have a presence to hand out flyers?
