DESCRIPTION:The Earthfare Chain of Grocery stores has agreed to step u
 p to the plate in a big way to support Slow Food Charlotte and especia
 lly our community garden program.\nOn March 28th, that special, specia
 l day, both the Southpark and the Ballantyne Earthfare stores are goin
 g to dedicate 5% of every sale in the store to our organization.\nWe a
 re going to be hosting a great tent outside to promote our activities,
  with a lecture on community gardens, and we are exploring a wide vari
 ety of programs to make it a fun day...a cooking contest with prizes, 
 raffles of rain barrels and other goodies, and a grill full of burgers
  and dogs for sale to benefit Slow Food Charlotte.\nWe need EVERYONE t
 o shop at one of these stores that day....why not forget to shop the w
 eek before and come stock up for the week after?\nAlso, we need severa
 l volunteers to help staff the tents...probably 6 to 8 at each store. 
 We'll make it fun--Genie is working on the adult beverage donations. R
