SUMMARY:Atherton Market Weekdays
DESCRIPTION:Hello November! The chill in the air is long overdue. Whil
e other markets are winding down, the Atherton Market is gearing up fo
r a great fall and winter season. We’ve got seasonal events schedule
d in the weeks to come, an abundance of fresh local food, and culinary
experts to show you how to use it.\n\nThere are a few new vendors to
tell you about – the locally acclaimed Lucky Leaf Gardens starts on
Tuesdays this week, and recent additions to the market include Blueber
ry Hill Farm, Landis Gourmet Mushrooms, Commonwealth Farms, North 40 F
arms, Centennial Farms, Pogo and Spot, and Haute Dogs. Watch Facebook
for news of who is vending when.\n\nTuesdays we continue our Chef in t
he Market series with a different local culinary expert each week. Thi
s Tuesday we are hosting Craig Barbour, who is also working for Centen
nial Farms. He’ll show you what to do with lamb, and will also featu
re a number of our other vendors. In addition to the cooking demos, Ro
b from the Common Market will help you with wine and beer pairings for
  your at-home feast.\n\nThis Wednesday we’ll host a growing number o
f vendors, and in celebration of our new day and earlier weekday hours
we’re going to offer breakfast! Each vendor will have something to
sample that is appropriate for the most important meal of the day –
and by the time you make your way around, you should be nourished and
full of great ideas for mornings at home. Look for everything from smo
ked trout, to cheese and greens frittatini’s, to sausage balls, to m
uffins, to house made granola. There will also be coffee and green jui
ce – something for everyone!\n\nSee you at the market!\nLynn S. Cald
