Earlier this year we set out to grow some of our own heirloom tomatoes that are part of the Slow Food USA's ark program, and were provisioned through Appalachian Seeds Farm & Nursery in Burnsville, NC.

Grown on 4 different farms. New Town, Fischer, Laughing Owl and New Beginning.

The two tomato varieties are Cherokee Purple and Radiator Charlie's Mortgage Lifter. All tomatoes were grown from the same seed. The only variation in their flavor will be the ground that they were grown in, like terroir to the grape, we embrace the red clay to the tomato.

Town will be serving wine and meats to try too.
